How to Have Great* Hair (Yes, the * is on Purpose)

Hi everyone! In today's post I'm going to give some tips on how to have healthy, soft hair. The title has an asterisk because there is not one way to have "great" hair, or even a definition for it. Everyone has their own idea of what it looks like. To me, I just like to have soft, healthy hair. I don't change my natural texture (wavy). So in this post I'm going to share how I do that. Shampoo For shampoo, I make sure to use a shampoo that is good for my hair texture. I tend to stay away from "curly hair shampoo" because although my hair has some curls, it tends to not be the best for my hair type. I normally use shampoo that is made for all textures, or doesn't specify the hair texture. I don't use one set shampoo, but I do like Dove and Herbal Essences. And if you're going a little more expensive, I love Dae.  Conditioner Conditioner is an entirely different category from shampoo. It REALLY depends on what texture and type of hair you ...

Holiday Haul! What I Got This Year

Image
Hi guys! Today I thought I would share a haul of the things I got for the holidays this year. I celebrate Hanukkah, so all except for one gift from a Christmas Eve party I was invited to are Hanukkah gifts. I'll tell you what I got and what I think of it! Hope you enjoy! Shearling Hand Mist Touchette- touchland I was so excited when I opened this UGG-looking touchland hand sanitizer holder! It's cute, functional and not to mention super useful! It fits a touchand hand sanitizer perfectly, and it even has a pocket for other little things! If you're looking to get this, go fast! It's limited edition! Definitely recommend. Watermelon Slice Peptide Lip Treatment- rhode Oh my gosh. This lip balm from rhode is AMAZING. It smells good, feels good, and is moisturizing AND glossy, so it looks good too! I love the gentle but noticeable watermelon scent, and the super hydrating formula! I totally recommend. Pink Marble Lip Gloss Holder, Hot Pink Heart Stick-On Hook, Petal Grace ...

Hi guys! Today I'm giving you a challenge! Keep reading to find out what the challenge is, how my attempt is going, and how you can share your attempt with me! Let's get started! The Challenge Alright, this challenge is called: "-Insert your name-'s List of Things to Learn and Do." In this challenge you need to create a list of at LEAST 10 things you want to learn, try, or do more of! The rules: screen-free (that means you can use electronics if you're NOT looking at the screen!), once you put something on the list you stick to it (no removing!), and of course, HAVE FUN!!!!! How to Complete It: To complete it, you need to do the 10 or more things on your list, following all the rules. That's it. You have as LONG as you want! If you WANT to set a deadline, go ahead! If you don't, that's great! All you have to do is complete it. This challenge is an attempt on finding new hobbies/activities/skills that are screen-free and fun/useful/interesting for...

Monday Tips

You know Mondays. Waking up early for school, school IN GENERAL, no more weekend, homework, e.t.c. It's not normally very fun! I always have a hard time with Monday, so I decided to try and find some ways to improve them! Here's what I've got: 1.  Start with a cup of water Starting the day feeling hydrated and refreshed actually helps! It makes you feel (and be!) healthy and awake from the beginning. I suggest keeping a water bottle by your bed for maximum reachability :) 2. Clothes first! As tempting as it is to stay in your pajamas until the last second, putting on your clothes first helps you feel awake and ready. You get a CRUCIAL step in getting ready done with immediately. Pro-tip: Find your perfect Monday outfit. It could be something comfy to help you ease in, or a power outfit that gives you confidence. 3. Go through the day Do a quick run down of your day and try to find things to look forward to. If you really can't find any, make some! Put a bag of sucking...

My Love for Scented Candles

I love a good scented candle. It makes everything feel warm, cozy and relaxed. I recently developed a love for them, and let me tell you, it's not going away. I like crisp clean scents, lemony scents (citrus), woodsy scents, ocean-y scents, and lots more.  Currently I have "Sun Drenched Linen" by Bath & Body Works, "Capricorn" by Lou Benesch x Anthropologie (not available any more), "Lemon Verbena" by GoodLight, and "Capri BLUE Volcano" by Anthropologie. All really nice scents.  "Sun Drenched Linen" is a soft clean scent, "Lemon Verbena" is well, obviously a lemony scent, "Capricorn" is a woodsy scent, and "Capri BLUE Volcano" is probably like a fresh-fruity scent.  My mom also just got a new candle that I absolutely LOVE. She got it during a Black Friday sale, and it is just AMAZING. It's called "01" by Bon Parfumeur, and it smells like basil, fig leaves and mint. I can't wait t...

Weekend Morning Routine (Saturday)

Hi guys! It's been a minute since I wrote, so I'm very happy to be writing this one for you! It is currently Saturday morning, so I thought I would give you a typical Saturday morning routine! Let's get in to it: 7:30-8:30-  Wake up. I wake up at the most random times on the weekend, but it normally falls sometime between 7:30 and 8:30. After I wake up I make sure to drink some water (I keep a water bottle on my bedside table) and I put on my slippers to walk downstairs. 8:30- Okay, so since I get up at different times each day on the weekend, this could be earlier or later, but for the sake of writing, I'm going to say 8:30. I say good morning to everyone and usually blog, read, hang out with the fam, or do something chill.  9:00- Breakfast. I'm a late breakfast eater! During the week it's the first thing I do, but only because of school! I like my time to chill and hangout before I eat, so on the weekend, this is how I do it! I normally eat cereal and milk f...
